Tourism Excellence Awards Open for Nominations

Nominations are now open for businesses to be recognised in the 2022 Destination Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards. 

The Tourism Excellence Awards celebration is a prestigious event in the tourism business calendar across England, that celebrates innovation and best practice across the nation.

Regional ceremonies take place each year in the bid to win gold in the VisitEngland awards the following year, and Lincolnshire has been seen before nominated and represented on the national stage. In 2020 International Bomber Command Centre took home the Gold Award for International Tourism – a first and momentous achievement for the county. 

This year, Stonebow Media, publishers of The Lincolnite, along with headline sponsors Lincoln College and Destination Lincolnshire, are hosting the awards to find and celebrate the best businesses across Greater Lincolnshire. 

Visit Lincolnshire are proud to sponsor two of the awards categories for the 2022 round, Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award, and Resilience and Innovation Award.

The fifteen categories are now open for nominations, of which winners from twelve of the categories going through to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence as a nomination. 

The deadline for nominations to the awards is August 3rd, with online judging starting on August 4th and mystery shopping from August 15th. 

The awards ceremony will be held at the Engine Shed on October 21st, hosted by Lincs FM presenter, John Marshall.
