Reimagined and relaunched in 2020 by Lincolnshire County Council, VisitLincolnshire.com was developed to inspire and inform visitors during challenging times. Our vision was to establish Lincolnshire’s premier visitor-facing website while offering free business listings to bolster the local visitor economy. Since its launch, the website has flourished:
- 1,672,863 total page views in 2024
- 33% increase in traffic compared to 2023
- 978,408 tital sessions in 2024
- 451% increase in sessions since year of launch (2021)
- 159,252 clicks to more information such as ‘Book Now’
e.g. Travel and tourism websites achieve an average conversion rate of 4.7% (Source: Ruler Analytics). VisitLincolnshire.com achieved 16.3% in 2024.
To ensure the platform continues to thrive, Lincolnshire County Council has been spending an additional £125,000 for 2024/25 (beyond operational costs) to enhance content and functionality.
