The kitchen porter provides assistance to the chefs and restaurant team by keeping the kitchen clean. 

The porter works proactively within a busy kitchen by washing dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and also carries out any necessary deep cleaning duties.

Tasks
  •  Ensure all food and equipment deliveries are inspected for quantity, quality and use-by date and are stored correctly
  • Inform management of any stock or equipment issues
  • Be responsible for the pot wash section, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and health and safety
  • Mop the floor
  • Take out waste
  • Fully disinfect food preparation surfaces
  • Carry out open and close down checks
