The Role of a Pot Wash
The pot washer follows cleaning checklists and keeps the kitchen and cooking equipment clean, so that the chefs have a constant supply of clean dishes and utensils.
Specific duties include: -
- Stacking dirty trays
- Keeping the pot wash area clean and tidy
- Using the pot wash
- Make sure key items are always washed and available when required
- Supply chefs with the pots and pans necessary to prepare food during service
- Replacing dishes with clean crockery
