A wide range of resources to inform and support your journey to pub diversification

Pubs have faced huge challenges over the past 20 years – from the smoking ban, a rise in home drinking and increasing competition from a proliferation of food and drink outlets, to development pressures for residential conversion, recession and the impact of Covid-19.

But pubs have been great at re-inventing themselves over the centuries, whilst still being at the heart of the changing communities that they serve.

Diversification of the facilities and services that a pub offers can help to create a more resilient business model and future-proof it to survive and thrive.

From the addition of bedroom, camp sites and glamping, to setting up shops, providing take-away meals and creating Instagram-able outdoor spaces for events, film screenings and more, a diversified pub offer means a range of income streams, new markets, and flexibility to respond to customer needs.

The resources below provide a wide range of business advice, information on sector trends, leading industry reports, case studies, and pub-specific marketing, operations and development guidance to support your diversification journey.
